We’re Kenzie and Biz - Filmmakers, Cinematographers, Editors, and partners in both life and creativity. Together, we built Rookie Films as a big middle finger to the idea that you have to “work your way up” by making someone else’s dream come true.

For years, we were the so-called “rookies” aka the ones doing all the hard, creative work behind the scenes while others took the credit (and most of the paycheck). But not anymore. We’ve stepped out from under the corporate shadow of television and picked up our cameras, and decided to make our own way, because the truth is, we’ve got the skills, the gear, and the vision to create something better! Armed with our Sony FX6, DJI drone, full edit and audio setup, and a serious love for storytelling, we make bold, cinematic visuals that actually mean something. Whether it’s adverts, branded content, music videos, weddings, or wild creative experiments, we bring our whole selves to every project. 

At Rookie Films, being a “rookie” isn’t an insult, it’s our reminder to stay curious, take risks, and keep filmmaking fun.
